RokuGuide.com is still alive!

Thanks to all who have inquired about the lack of new channel reviews over the last couple of weeks. RokuGuide.com has not been discontinued! I'm on a short break, but will return next week with new reviews and a new newsletter. See you soon!

Healthy Food

Quick Look: The Healthy Food channel offers instructional cooking videos in the categories of Diabetic, Appetizer, Breakfast, Main Dish, Side Dish, Dessert,Snack, and Drink. You can also filter by Low Calorie, Low Fat, Low Carb, Course, Cuisine (Chinese, Italian, Indian, Thai, Mexican, American, Mediterranean, Asian, Continental, European, French, Fusion, Greek, Japanese, South American), and Dish (breads, burgers, cakes, dry curry, dressing, ice creams, noodles, omelet, pancakes, salads, sandwich, smoothies, soups). There are currently (April 2012) just over 200 videos available, not "over 6,000" as promised in the developer's channel description.

For those not familiar with ifood.tv, it's a website where users upload their amateur cooking videos. These videos are available on a variety of ifood Roku channels. Video quality is variable, ranging from horrible to decent. Content is also variable. Most of the videos are home-made, so don't expect Food Network personality types. Watch the videos for the learning experience, not for entertainment value.

Developer's Channel Description: Healthy Food by ifood.tv brings over 6,000 trustworthy food videos to help you in living healthy. We have recipes for all diets, tastes and needs including Low Calorie, Low Carb, Low Fat, Diabetic, Healthy Holiday Food, Healthy Cooking shows and more. Eat Healthy Be Happy.
