Quick Look: NFB offers over 2,000 films from the National Film Board of Canada. However, all films on the NFB website are available on the Roku app through the in-channel search feature.
Films currently listed as "most popular" include The Cat Came Back (1988), an Oscar-nominated animation based on the folk song of the same name; Carts of Darkness (2008), an hour-long documentary the follows a group of homeless men who have combined bottle picking with racing shopping carts down the steep hills of North Vancouver; and How to Build an Igloo (1949), a classic short film in which two Inuit men show how to make an igloo using only snow and a knife.
In addition to its huge selection of free films, the app offers several useful features such as allowing users to select the video quality to select English or French, providing a watchlist to save titles for future viewing, and suggesting titles similar to what you've selected.
