Quick Look: HipServ is a home media server that allows users to collect their digital media files (photos, music and video) on one device and then stream those files to connected devices like smartphones and tablet. hipMedia is a third-party app that provides the ability to stream files to Roku-connected TVs using your HipServ installation. Your files must be stored on one of the following devices: Seagate GoFlex, Netgear Stora, Verbatim MediaShare, Roxio Streamer or La Cie InternetSpace.
hipMedia Lite is a free serviced designed for testing of hipMedia before purchasing the full version. With this lite version you will be limited to accessing 5 MP3 files per folder and to 15 min of video playback.
