Q: Can I get Pac-12 football on Roku?
A: The Pacific-12 Conference (Pac-12) consists of universities located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. Pac-12 has won more NCAA National Team Championships than any other conference in history1.
Live coverage of Pac-12 sports is offered by Pac-12 Networks, but to get all of the Pac-12 Network programming you will need to subscribe to a cable or satellite TV provider that carries this network. If your TV provider allows it, you can also watch Pac-12 sports through the Pac-12 Now app for iOS, Android, select Amazon Kindles and Phone, and web browsers. A list of TV providers that currently support Pac-12 Now can be found here
But don't look for Pac-12 on Roku - the Pac-12 FAQs page used to state that "we are considering support for Pac-12 Now on additional devices such as Xbox, PS3, Roku, etc.," has been removed, leading to speculation that Pac-12 has no current plans to support additional devices. Pac-12 Networks also states that "Pac-12 Networks does not currently provide an a-la-carte Internet-only subscription option."
So, how does a cord cutter get Pac-12 Networks? Sling TV includes Pac-12 Networks in the Sports Extra package for both Sling Orange and Sling Blue subscribers. With Pac-12 Networks, Sling TV viewers can watch all six Pac-12 regional feeds with live coverage of 800 sporting events. A free 7-day trial is available for new subscribers.
