Christmas Zone is an update to the channel that was called Christmas Zone Holiday Movies. This new incarnation is still missing the "Christmas classics, including Charlie Brown, Rudolph, Frosty, and many more" that are promised in the Roku Channel Store description (you can find those on the Christmas Time channel with a $9.99/month subscription). Also, this app is not to be confused with Roku's own Holiday Zone, which provides streamers with a collection of free Christmas movies from The Roku Channel.
What you will find on the Christmas Zone app are 71 movies in the categories of Christmas Favorites, Kids, and Thrillers. If you're wondering how the thriller genre can wind up on a Christmas channel, that's because it carries movies such as All Through the House (2015), a slasher film in which a deranged masked Santa-Slayer comes to town for some yuletide-terror and leaves behind a bloody trail of mutilated bodies as he hunts his way to the front steps of the town's most feared and notorious home; and Satan Claus (2019), a Rotten Tomatoes 1-star video about a killer Santa Claus who hunts the streets of New York.
If you aren't interested in killer Santas, Christmas Zone has more-traditional fare like the currently-featured Headed South For Christmas (2015), a heartwarming holiday family film that follows an angst-ridden 14 year old girl whose mother died during childbirth and whose only wish for Christmas is to meet her Mother for the first time; and A Bulldog for Christmas (2013), about a cynical college student on Christmas vacation who is magically transformed into a bulldog until she learns the meaning of her family and the Christmas spirit.
