Aside from its odd title, FreeMovie Browser Like Chrome on Roku is a strangely-configured app. Most of the home screen is taken up by "Web Searches." Enter a search term on the left side of the screen and you'll get a list that contains mostly links to YouTube videos. For example, enter "Top Gun" and you'll get a long list of related YouTube videos, including trailers and songs from the movie's soundtrack.
Less obvious are thumbnails across the top of the screen that take you to matching videos. In this case, the first thumbnail was "Top Gun: Maverick - Pilot Training Featurette." Other videos included trailers, reviews, and other assorted Top Gun-related titles.
To get to the meat of this app, which is a large library of free movies and TV shows, just use the [back] button on your remote to exit the web search screen. You'll find a wide range of categories that include Love Story, Mini Drama to Binge, Historical Fantasy, Arthouse Movies, and much more.
Also available is a LiveTV section with a traditional programming grid as used on The Roku Channel and Pluto TV. Channels include Nosey, WeatherNation, Game Show Central, MotorTrend, ION Mystery, and many other linear channels.
