Quick Look: Chinese lessons are available for the "Absolute Beginner" and for the "Upper Beginner". Absolute beginners can choose from two sets of language lessons. "Chinese in Three Minutes" provides 11 short lessons on topics that include Self Introductions, Chinese Manners, and Greetings. As an example of what to expect, the Self Introductions lesson spends its time teaching you two ways to tell someone your name. The other set of lessons, "ChineseClass101.com," consists of 25 audio-only lessons that are each also just a couple of minutes in length.
Upper beginners have a choice of learning Traditional or Simplified Chinese. Each lesson shows a picture or video while an associated Chinese word or phrase is shown on the screen and read out loud. Topics include Talking About Your Day, Relaxing in the Evening, and Top 20 Verbs.
Innovative Language also offers Roku-based instruction in Spanish, French, English, German, Japanese, Korean, Italian, and Russian.
