Thanks to all who have inquired about the lack of new channel reviews over the last couple of weeks. RokuGuide.com has not been discontinued! I'm on a short break, but will return next week with new reviews and a new newsletter. See you soon!

Quick Look: Sidetick TV is an ad-supported Roku channel with over a thousand video titles. Most of the film titles are B-grade movies, although you may find a few better-known titles like Convoy, starring Kris Kristofferson, if you look hard enough. Movies span the usual genres, such as Adventure, Documentary, Drama, Comedy, and Romance.

You'll also find television-style series such as Xtreme Fighting Championships and Art of Fighting, and some classics that include Betty Boop cartoons and public domain Westerns. In the "Other" category are videos that fit in anywhere else, like a Nativity Set video with Christmas music, "Pilates in Pregnancy", and a video showing you how to do monster make-up.

Video quality varies. One movie I sampled was near-HD quality, but another video was extremely pixelated. I also experienced some crashes after adRise commercials played.
