Quick Look: This is the classic DOS computer game, updated for the Roku. The premise of the game is to consume "pellets" and increase the size of your "snake". You control the direction of movement with the arrow keys on your remote control, careful not to run into yourself. You are awarded additional links for every pellet consumed making your snake longer. The game ends when you run into yourself (or the border, if playing the "classic" version).
There are several game modes available - slow, medium or fast - and several different themes that let you change colors and how the game objects are presented. You can also choose between Classic Snake, where you have to avoid the game borders, and Open Snake, where the snake is allowed to move off the sides of the screen, reappearing on the opposite site.
The basic channel is free to play but does have commercial interruptions between games. There is an ad-free option available for a one time purchase of $1.99.
