Quick Look: Snakes Free is an updated version of the original DOS computer game. Like the original game, the premise is to consume "pellets" and increase the length of your "snake" while moving your snake with the arrow keys on your remote. However, this version adds a few more challenges and assistance to the mix:
- There are two different types of pellets, safe pellets and pellets that explode when eaten or touched. The exploding pellets are denoted by a small fireball next to the pellet.
- Another factor to be aware of are the other snakes that randomly appear and disappear on the screen, running into them also ends the game, however if they run into you they disappear.
- One other major difference is that you can cross over yourself without losing a life.
- Much like the original, there are borders that can not be touched or the game is over.
The channel is free to play but there are upwards of 6 commercials before you get to play the first game with intermittent commercials after that.
