Quick Look: The Weather Channel provides a live feed of the popular cable channel, along with local weather, VOD, and radar to those who subscribe to a participating pay TV service. The channel provides 10 free minutes of access before you're required to authenticate with your provider.
The app launches in live mode, but you can access additional features using the "up" directional arrow on your Roku remote to unhide a menu bar at the top of the screen. The "My Weather" option will show you current temperature, wind, and sky cover, current radar, and a simple 7-day graphical forecast. Highlight this forecast, which covers the bottom half of the screen, and press OK to find a more-detailed 7-day forecast that also includes sunrise and sunset times for each day and that night's moon phase. Select any day from this detailed view and press OK for that day's hourly forecast.
To see if you have access to The Weather Channel on Roku, visit weathergroup.com/activate and search for your provider. If your provider is not listed, this channel is not available to you after 10 minutes of cumulative usage.
