Wall Street Journal Live

Wall Street Journal Live

Quick Look: Most people associate The Wall Street Journal with the newspaper publication, but Wall Street Journal Live (rebranded as WSJ Video, but still called Wall Street Journal Live on Roku) brings video reporting to the Roku. WSJ Video offers under the following categories, with up to 33 videos per category:

  • Breaking News
  • Editors' Picks
  • Trending Now
  • Opinion
  • Life & Culture
  • Today in Tech,
  • Luxury Real Estate
  • Offbeat & Absurd

These categories are subject to change, and you'll also find additional topics related to current events. For example, in early January 2015 you could find videos on Campaign 2016, Year in Review 2015, and The Holiday Season.

There is also a category called All Videos, but it appears to stick to the 33-video limit of the other categories, so you won't really find all of the videos here.

Don't overlook the search feature, which is found under the Spotlight heading. Content is updated throughout the day, so the content is constantly changing. What's here today may be gone tomorrow or next week. The search function, though, will return videos from as long as several months ago. If you want to find videos on a certain topic, the search function may pay off for you. A search on "earthquake", for example, returns several videos from late August 2011 (over three months ago, as of the time of this review) relating to the 5.8 quake that hit the Eastern U.S.

-- Information is current as of January 1, 2016
