QuickESign

Quick Look: QuickESign lets you turn your Roku-connected TV into an electronic signboard. To use this channel, you will need to create a free account at quickesign.com and link your Roku player to that account. Then you can start creating your own advertising or announcement signs, whether for your home, office, or business.

To create sign, log into the QuickESign website and go to your Dashboard. From there, you can create a new script and link it to a Roku device. Once you've created a script, you can upload photos (JPG, GIF, PNG) and video files (MP4). After you're done uploading photos to a script, you can set the duration for each image to display, and the location where it should be displayed on the screen.

At its simplest, QuickESign can be used to create a slideshow of images, or to play sequential videos, but those things would be much easier using other apps. However, QuickESign offers added features, such as allowing you to stack images of differing sizes over one another, and to specify each image's location and appearance time on the screen. Unfortunately, there is little documentation of how scripting works, beyond a listing of file types. It would appear that this app is more powerful than it first appears, but we'll have to hope that additional documentation is added.
